Book In-Person With Brooklyn I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating, and reaching out is often a big, courageous step. You might be noticing that parts of your life no longer feel quite right, or that things just aren’t working the way you want them to. My intention is to offer space where there is room to slow down, reflect, and begin making sense of what you’re carrying. I aim to hold space in a way that feels supportive and safe, while gently exploring and addressing the concerns that brought you to therapy.
My approach is insight-oriented, relational, and reflective. I believe that lasting change comes from understanding yourself, including your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and values, and noticing how they show up in your life. Together we’ll focus on strengthening your connection to who you are and what matters most to you, while exploring ways to respond differently when old habits or patterns arise.
The relationship we build in therapy is central to this work, and I strive to make it warm, attentive, and nonjudgmental. I gently challenge when it feels helpful, while also bringing humour and lightness into the room, because I believe that depth and softness can and should coexist in the healing process.
I work with people navigating grief, relationship and attachment challenges, identity questions, life transitions and more. Whatever brings you to therapy, the awareness and insights we develop together naturally extend into everyday life, giving you the chance to notice patterns, reflect, and respond in ways that feel more intentional and aligned with who you want to be.
At the heart of my work is supporting you in developing a deeper understanding of yourself, so you can move forward in ways that feel grounded, authentic, and true to who you want to be. I’m here to listen, support and walk alongside you whenever you’re ready.

Reaching out for support takes courage and vulnerability. I hope this short bio gives you a sense of who I am and whether we might be a good fit—because I believe healing begins with a strong, trusting therapeutic connection.
We all experience ups, downs, and everything in between. In our work together, all parts of your story—your pain, emotions, aspirations, and wonderings—are welcomed and held without judgment. Whatever you’re navigating or hoping to better understand, I’ll meet you with warmth, compassion, and curiosity. It’s okay if you’re unsure of what you need or what therapy is “supposed” to be like (it looks different for everyone!). We’ll explore what works best for you, working in alignment with your goals, needs, and preferences.
My approach is both gentle and direct. I strive to create space for reflection while also empowering you to notice patterns and move toward meaningful change. I take an integrative and holistic approach, primarily drawing from Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to help you explore your story, understand how past relationships and experiences shape your present, and build self-compassion by connecting with the different parts of yourself. Together, we’ll unpack what you’ve been carrying and reconnect with your most authentic self.
I hold a Master’s in Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BASc in Child, Youth and Family (with a minor in Psychology) from the University of Guelph. While I believe education is important, I also value the insights we gain from lived experiences, as they shape who we are and how we move through the world.
Outside of the therapy room, you can find me recharging by reading, soaking up the sun, staying active, discovering new cafes, and connecting with loved ones.
If any part of this resonates with you, I’d love to connect and support you on your path toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Hello, and welcome! Thank you for the honour of walking alongside you as you navigate your path of healing and self-discovery. I have a continual growth mindset balanced with a heart for inner peace, contentment, and compassion. I work with my clients to create a space for deep processing and emotional awareness, leading to an innate sense of agency and realizing tangible goals and growth.
You will have the opportunity to look at the many facets of human experience that have shaped you, as well as your perspectives, self-talk, and emotional landscape. Through our work together, a deeper understanding of how these elements have influenced your choices, relationships, and self-concept will allow for clarity and healing in the moment, as well as action and direction for the future. These insights can be invaluable in times of crisis, transition, and/or stagnation and can also be used to foster positive changes and patterns regardless of your current life situation.
I value diversity of personalities, experiences, and backgrounds. As a musician, I also value the creative arts and nonverbal communication. Whether your primary objective is verbal processing, emotional processing, self-expression, or goal setting, I would like to welcome you into a space of discovering more about who you are and what you are capable of.

I believe healing begins in relationship, when you feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted exactly as you are. I am a trauma-informed therapist who offers a warm, supportive, and inclusive space for healing. I work with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including trauma and PTSD, self-harming behaviours, grief and loss, anxiety, sleep concerns, and difficulties with anger and emotional regulation.
I am committed to supporting neurodivergent individuals and LGBTQ2S+ clients in a way that honours identity, difference, and lived experience, and fosters a sense of safety, belonging, and respect.

I understand that many coping strategies—such as self-harm, anger, or withdrawal—developed as ways to survive overwhelming experiences. In our work together, we focus on safety, compassion, and building new skills without judgment.
Above all, my goal is to offer a space where you can slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with your strengths. You don’t have to navigate this alone. Together, we can do hard things.

Changing how we think, feel, and behave is a complex task. Even with compelling reasons for wanting to change, we struggle against parts of ourselves that seem to resist it at every turn. This is a normal, though often distressing experience—where the mind is in conflict with itself.
Internal conflicts take many forms and frequently shape our emotional lives without us realizing it—quietly and unconsciously undermining our efforts toward change, personal growth, and wellbeing.
Working from a psychodynamic approach, I aim to help individuals gain freedom from internal conflicts that keep them feeling stuck and unfulfilled in life. Psychodynamic therapy is an effective treatment for common, complex, and chronic mental health issues.
Beyond symptom relief, its benefits may also include enhanced occupational, interpersonal, and personality functioning. My background in this approach includes two years of post-graduate education, publications in the peer-reviewed journal Psychodynamic Practice, and personal experience in long-term therapy.
In psychodynamic therapy we pay close attention to troubling patterns of experience in your day- to-day life and significant relationships. We focus on identifying internal conflicts and making
sense of how they keep old, unhelpful patterns alive in the present. Then we take steps to resolve core conflicts, disrupt unhelpful patterns, and develop more adaptive ones in their place. Ultimately, we work together at expanding your freedom to make more conscious choices that align with your core values, emotional needs, and desired life outcomes.
To ensure a personalized therapeutic process, I also integrate techniques from other evidence-based approaches as needed (listed below).
In sum, I am passionate about helping people put insight into action—not only toward symptom relief, but also long-lasting psychological change. I have worked and volunteered in various areas of mental health care since 2019, including crisis intervention, psychiatric inpatient care, behaviour therapy, and community counselling services.

“Blending together Eastern and Western philosophies, Andrei believes that through developing one’s capacity for self-awareness, individuals can tap into their self-healing capabilities and restore their functionality and enjoyment of life.”
Offering sessions in Russian and English, Andrei believes everyone has an innate capacity to self-heal. Given the right environment, this capacity can be summoned to help process trauma and change. Andrei’s approach works as a mental toolbox by offering a supportive and safe space. Each client is provided with a unique set of tools to explore their capacity for self-awareness and to create strategies that can be used to restore functionality and motivation to live life to its fullest. Informed by his personal experiences of immigration, Andrei is passionate about culturally sensitive work and pays special attention to an individual’s unique life journey and personal growth experience.
Andrei’s areas of focus include any relational issues – be that the relationship the client has with themselves or with another person, or perhaps with their romantic or sexual partner; psychological and physical traumas – things that may hold one back from achieving their full potential, regardless if recent or from the past; and difficult life transitions and decisions – clients have described Andrei as a “personal sounding board” and as a “catalyst” for change. His past academic and professional experiences make him uniquely equipped to work with young professionals and individuals who are completing their education or launching their careers.
Having migrated through Eastern Europe, Israel, and Polynesia before finally settling in North America, Andrei employs a unique blend of the collectivistic, Eastern philosophy and family values, combining it with his Western education and training. While working with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy foundation, Andrei uses traditional cognitive behavioural strategies in combination with elements of Narrative and Solution Focused Therapies.
He is particularly attentive to the session format, working on blending the more structured CBT interventions with a flexible, client-centred approach.

If you feel anxious, stressed, overwhelmed and feel that no one around you seems to understand, you are not alone. Many changes, including breaking up, divorce, job loss, and death of a loved one, can lead to feeling lost or stuck.
Trying to balance two cultures, where on one side are your family’s expectations and on the other are the Western world’s norms around dating, relationships, and work, can confuse identity and self-worth.
Let me help. I have experience working with clients, helping them navigate their feelings around stress, anxiety, relationships, and cultural differences using the psychodynamic approach. I use many techniques, including dream work, free associations, and CBT, to help you better understand yourself and gain control over your narrative.
As a South Asian, I also use a culturally responsive lens to promote healthy boundaries and self-care so that we can work together to explore our identity and self-worth.
